yellow roses

A rose bush in full bloom
Hanging its yellow heads down, heavy with the late autumn

Bathed in the golden light of morning,
along with every branch and little round leaf,
every divot in the bark of every tree

Everything painted half in gold and all in green shadow

    To live and keep living
    Breathe and keep breathing

Even with the feeling heavy in your chest
The same feeling of those yellow roses saddled with late autumn

If they are no less beautiful when they look down that way

    then maybe
